Hello Martin,
Several months ago my eye doctor told me that the cataracts in my eyes were preventing my latest and strongest glasses from producing any gain in clarity. She said that surgical replacement of my eye lenses was the only way to improve my vision. Once my eyes had healed from the surgery I would not need glasses for distance vision but might need reading glasses.
The alternatives were go to a Government funded Public hospital and have them replaced without charge or go to a Private hospital and pay around $600 Australian. The Public option would require me to go on a waiting list with a delay of around a year. The private choice would be much sooner. I accepted her offer to place me on the Public list in the hope that the wait would be shorter than a year.
I face a time limit because the Queensland State government requires drivers, who have reached their 75th birthday, to obtain a doctor’s certificate of fitness to drive. My eyesight was just good enough for my first certificate. It expires on 15 June 2010. My cataracts were first detected several years ago and are getting worse. Without significant clearance of the cataracts, my sight is unlikely to be up to the required level.
I have limited income and paying for cataract surgery would significantly reduce my savings. Also I would prefer a less invasive treatment.
2 Weeks ago I started the Vision Improvement program, in your book. I'm following the "Good" option while continuing to practice "Do Nothing" each day. Recently I took delivery of the "White Light" CD and have started with the relaxation track. From this afternoon I will use the eye exercises track.
Although your book does not mention cataracts, I'm hoping you can suggest a natural way of clearing the growing cataract haze in my eye lenses.
I look forward to your suggestions
