Martin, I really love your book about vision improvement. I am italian and I am improving my vision now. If we think that myopia is a problem for so many people around the world, especially in developed countries where it is so frequent, we can consider that its cause can be found in a sort of global or collective consciousness. What do you think about that? Before reading your book I read also many other books about vision improvement. I read some books about the Bates Method that were not very good since explained the method as a mere collection of exercises. There are only a few books that explain the Bates Method very well and are very good books. The book written by Bates himself is a very interesting one and also "relearning to see" by T. Quackenbush is excellent. Reading those books the reader is suggested that the cause of the tension which produces myopia comes from our culture, from our society, especially in the so called "civilized" or "developed" countries in the form of a conditioning that we received when we were children from adults who repeatedly told us "don't move when I speak to you", "Don't cry", "Don't yell", "Don't lough", "Don't look at that person", "Don't yawn", so the child who is likely to mantain his acuity is the rebel. What do you think about that? Thanks Giovanni

...and to the degree that the individual accepts and adopts that aspect of the group consciousness. That means, of course, that the individual can also choose to no longer accept or agree with the dieas that are not healthy for them, and thus release the effects of the tensions associated with those ideas.

The relationship between myopia and tensions in the areas of life related to the root chakra for me is very clear, in fact I have lived until now seeing the world through a fear filter and I had also troubles concerning home and job. What is not very clear yet is why when I feel the tension, I feel it in an area related to the throat chakra: I have lived for years with a cronical contraction in my throat (around the trachea, in the area realated to the process of swallowing). Sometimes it was very bothering, sometimes It wasn't but it was there anyway otherwise I wouldn't have been myopic. I know this for sure since when my throat is completely relaxed I see perfectly clearly. So I have to remove this tension completely to experience clear vision permanently. But why a tension in the throat instead of in parts of my body related to the root chakra? It's true that I have been holding back the expression of my being in order to be appreciated by others. But now i think I don't do it anymore, so that tension should disappear. Giovanni

Something aobut being afraid to express something, or to express yourself about something - look at what was happening in your life when you became myopic.
