Since I've mentioned this a couple of times, I was wondering if anyon would like to go into it a bit more. What is it with clear flashes? I'm even dreaming about getting them now, and as there are some constant factors, I wanted to do some compare & contrast. If I go sort of trance-like, the [shadow=red,left,300]fog[/shadow] clears. As does my head. Now, while this can be a good thing it is rather unworkable on a day-to-day basis. I'm not sure how far you can go though life not thinking. If I really really really really try to see something, I can get flashes. That's the opposite from the trance - every particle of concentration is focused on seeing clearly - just on the central point of focus, mind. Also, when I'm really interested in something I'm reading, the print gets clearer when I remind myself that it can be clearer (does that make any sense at all?) When I breathe veeeeeeery deeply and look at things in a disinterested sort of way, sometimes they clear; as soon as I look properly, they go [shadow=red,left,300]fuzzy[/shadow] again. When I dream of clear flashes, the same thing tends to happen. I try to capture my state of mind/ remember what I was thinking or feeling, but it just slips away. What I'd like to be able to do (obviously) is identify and hold on to whatever feeling or thought comes with the clear flash, but I've not managed to do it yet. Any hints/stories/explanations on offer out there? love to all, Gilly

It comes with practice. You get realizations.
Just stay with it.
I am attaching here an email I received from a reader:
Hi Martin,
I wanted to share some exciting news with you.
It is just a few days shy of 3 months since I received your book Improve Your Vision and commenced a daily relaxation and eye exercise routine.
I had placed the chart from your book on the wall in front of my desk and so when sitting at the desk it is about 2 feet 5 inches from my eyes . My journal entry for today is " I closed my eyes gently and on opening to look at the chart saw all the letters sharply including the smallest for 2 - 3 seconds before they blurred back to my normal vision". My normal short sightedness means that even the large letters P T X Z have some fuzziness.
WOW! That was unexpected and very encouraging. It convinces me that my eyes can see clearly.
I have stuck reasonably faithfully to the regime in your book with a few misses. That means I follow the routine of 'love your eyes', play the CD no 2 track with the eye exercises, read a portion of the book and read an affirmation.
I have noticed after the relaxation and eye exercises that the print in the book is blacker and text comes into focus out of the page for awhile and then fades back into a blur. If I squeeze my eyes gently it often results in my short sightedness improving a little but only very briefly.
3 months seems a long time with not much to show for it but after today's experience I want to persist and remind myself it did happen.
Sometimes I believe that it is inevitable that I will be free of wearing lenses but then sometimes I lose some of that belief.
Your book is so full of valuable instruction and advice which is appreciated.
Thank you again.

Here's an update: flashes are getting more frequent, and I'm able to hold them for longer. They also come on me unlooked-for, as well as with effore My right sinus is still unblocked - actually less blocked than last week, but now when I sneeze I get a minor nose-bleed, and I don't know what that's all about. Hope it's not bad Might try some meditation and find out what's going on there, though it may be related to my "time-travel" trip (see other threads - can't remember which one now) Have also been reading up on ocular neuro-science and discovered that left brain (right eye) processes analytical info - details - but is unable to put them together, whereas right brain (left eye) processes general picture but not details. I'm trying to consciously make my neurons and synapses communicate across brain hemispheres, and that seems to be helping to clear things up. So it must be all in the mind after all! Gilly

OOO Gilly!!!!
You are so very lucky!!! I have yet to experience flashes of any kind. Your success gives me encouragment.
I wouldn't worry about the nose bleed. When I have sinus issues sometimes I get a little nosebleed when I blow. I just figure things are irritated and the mucous membrane in your nose and sinus is sensitive anyway so a little blood is probably to be expected.
I love your idea about consciously making your neurons and syanpses communicate. I bet it makes your visualizations that much clearer.
Peace,
Maria

Hi Maria I started getting clear flashes in the summer, but rather than getting them, which sounds passive, I tried very hard to get them - mainly by looking and looking and looking and looking at car numberplates at distance and waiting and waiting and waiting until my vision cleared a bit. Then, once I managed it the first time, I knew I could do it again, so I refused to give in. Once you see everything materialise, you then have something to hold on to - a new memory of clear vision. Try putting a vision chart behind your computer screen and look at it several times a day. Suddenly, at some point, you'll find that all the small letters emerge from the blur and they'll then be gone again in the twinkling of an eye. But the more often you try, the longer they'll stay. Sometimes it depends on your breathing, sometimes it depends on what you're thinking (or not thinking), sometimes it depends on how hard you're concentrating, and sometimes it happens on its own but as soon as you notice it all blurs again. But once it's happened, there's no going back. love gilly

another quick update: Despite a manic week (3 deadlines for Feb 28 - WHY??? Who are these people who think it's a cool date for a deadline; more to the point, who was the genius who thought of putting 28 days in Feb but 31 in lots of other months. It's not like there are no days to spare or anything...) my vision seems to be improving...visibly. Since the contact lens episode, I have not worn my glasses at all, and don't intend to. Text on the computer screen is getting clearer (and boy, have I seen a lot of text on the computer screen these past 10 days), and my eye chart behind the computer is sharper. I can also make out the white space between words and letters on print-outs that are lying around, when before it all looked like grey lines. And street signs are legible from an unimaginably long distance (but then sometimes my brain pretends it hasn't really seen them...) I can see better at night too, with lights and lit signs being sharper than before, But if you're waiting for an eye-check update, you'll just have to wait because I don't have time to sit around at the optician's at the moment ;D love , Gilly
